Good morning everyone! I am sitting here with my 8 month old, Nate, attempting to type some words. You will have to forgive all spelling and grammatical errors because I have Nate on my lap and I would rather type than go back and correct grammer..
Today I am going to run in the morning with Nate while Ella is in preschool which is pretty much my Tuesday/Thursday routine. Once Nate reached 6 months (acutally 5, he is a strong boy) I was able to put him in the Bob Ironman (best jogger on earth) which changed my life. Before this time I was pretty much stuck to the treadmill or getting up at 5am which is difficult when you have been up all night with an infant.
(I have to give props to my friend Hallie here who despite getting up with her infant through the night managed to get up at 5am every morning to run.)
Now that Nate is bigger, I can run during the day with him while Ella is in school or being watched my someone else. I have had some great early morning runs with Nate when he decides to wake up at 5am. Nate loves the jogger and usually dozes off. While Ella is in school I have a good two and half hours to run with him. Amazing how much you can accomplish when you are down to 1 kid instead of 2.
Two minute time out.... Just got my 3 year old up. I have a feeling most of my posts will be done in chunks as I cater to my 3 year old:)
I am back, have provided hot cereal to my 3 year old, but now the baby is fussy. I am looking forward to my run time this morning! If you do not have a jogger and are considering getting a running jogger I highly recommend the Bob. They have a great website that helps you figure out which one is right for you. The one I have is super light weight and great for road running. Not sure what I would have done w/o the Bob so thank you Bob!
Happy Trails to everyone.
