I love you Mom

This one is dedicated to my mom. Yesterday I went to Club Sport with my mom. I took the kiddos to the daycare at the club and then hit the treadmill for an hour. The treadmill is not ideal but I got to spend the time with my mom while she walked/jogged on the treadmill next to me. She is the most courageous person I know. She has had Parkinson's for several years now and she continues to keep an optimistic outlook and work out every day. She challenges herself with yoga, Pilate's and core strength classes on a daily basis.

I look up to her as a role model not just as an amazing mother and caregiver but an athlete as well. She understands the connection between mind and body. Sure she has had many mornings where she feels too tired to workout, but she always gets herself up and makes the decision to workout because she knows it will help her feel better mentally and physically. There have been studies linking consistent exercise as a way to combat the onset of Parkinson symptoms.

So each morning, she gets up and does a work out.

I love you mom. Thanks for your inspiration. I hope to be an inspiration to my kids just as you have been for me!

Your daughter,
Robyn
