Although not directly related to running, most moms I know enjoy a good beer every once in awhile after a run. I certainly do and we often take the kids. Last Friday I was on the hunt for a good happy hour spot which was cool and kid friendly. Deschutes Brewery in the Pearl was our place. They had a great and cheap happy hour menu with tasty beers! Kids are allowed in most sections of the restaurant where the happy hour is served and they are super kid friendly (kid cups, coloring, etc...) The pearl is also a graet palce to stroll with the kiddos after a nice meal which is a double bonus.
Another fav spot we went to recently was Laurelwood Brew Pub in Northwest Portland. They have a great upstairs section with a kid play area, tv's so you can catch the game and good northwest grown food on their menu.
So after your next hard weekend run, try one of these spots. Both are high on our list.
